In the beginning of 2012, The Weitzman Group teamed up with Cencor Realty Services to create The Weitzman West Plano Village. This development is located on Parker and The North Dallas Tollway. For many years, the property was a large vacant field owned by the Haggard family of Plano.

The Executive Vice President of Cencor Realty Services is David Palmer. He is in charge of the Dallas-Fort Worth development and has helped The Weitzman Group build the West Plano Village. Palmer has contributed to the development by making it unique for customers to shop in.

“The location of West Plano made it one of the strongest sites in the Metroplex,” Palmer said. “Thanks to Plano’s incredible population and commercial growth, we are excited about this new project.”

The Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty Services have worked together on many projects for over 20 years. They have completed three major projects at the intersection of the North Dallas Tollway and Parker.

“The organizations specializes in development services, asset management and property management since 1989,” Director of Communications, Ian Pierce, said.

The idea to build in this area has been in The Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty Services plan for many years. The two company’s project will include 90,00 square feet of retail space along with restaurants adjacent to Cinemark West Plano and XD.

“We have worked on the plans for West Plano Village for more than a decade,” Palmer said. “We knew it would include a mix of uses that would include retail, restaurant, office and residential space.”

The development will continue to thrive throughout the year and years to come. The residents of West Plano can expect more. For the West Plano area, The Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty Services found that an urban-style collection of restaurants best matched the residents of the community.

“The Plano West Village is complete in terms of space, but during this coming year, we expect to announce new restaurant and retails users,” Pierce said.

Several examples of shops that will be coming to the area at the end of March include “ Royale Magnificent Burgers and Pakpao, a Thai restaurant,” Retail Executive Michelle Caplan said.

The construction for this project is complete but both Weitzman Group and Cencor Realty are hoping to build more in West Plano.

“Cencor is the development company and is always looking for the right opportunity to build,” Palmer said. “We have a long track record in Plano with projects like Legacy Drive Village, anchored by Kroger at Legacy Drive and Independence Parkway.”
