Izzy Nielsen, Staff Writer
Izzy Nielsen is a senior at Plano West and this is her first year on the publications team as a staff writer! She is ecstatic for this year as she loves writing and keeping up to date with school events. Apart from the newspaper, Isabella is involved in NHS, and Words to Heart. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, partaking in school activities like volleyball and football games, and going to concerts! She cannot wait to further her writing skills and become a well-rounded journalist!
She has always loved reading and writing and knew since freshman year that she wanted to have a creative career centered around communications or journalism. She decided to take the newspaper this year to see if journalism was the right path for her. She plans on attending the University of Missouri for journalism or the University of Arkansas which has a wide range of amazing major opportunities. Isabella’s mom was a major influence on her love for journalism as she has worked in the field for 20+ years. She cannot wait for an amazing year on the publications staff!
