Alyssa Royston, Co-Editor in Chief
Alyssa Royston is a Senior this year at West, and she is ecstatic to be back on the Blueprints Staff for a second year! As Co-Editor in Chief, she cannot wait to continue to learn and grow as a publisher this year, as well as gain leadership experience, and continue to connect with the Plano West community through writing. Outside of school, Alyssa loves reading, thrifting, and listening to music. Her favorite artists are Hozier, Lizzy McAlpine, and Harry Styles.
Journalism has always been prevalent in her day-to-day life by keeping up with the news and staying informed on pressing matters. Alyssa discovered the option to write for the school newspaper, The Plano West Blueprints while applying for classes going into Junior year, and she was drawn toward this new and exciting opportunity to explore possible careers. Through Journalism classes, she hopes to learn writing and communication skills that will sharpen her knowledge and give her a skillset to take with her in the future.
