Mr. Kay Joins The CTE Department
Mr. Kay is a new teacher in the CTE department, teaching forensic science. This is his first year teaching high school, but he has taught at the collegiate level for four years previously.
“I always enjoyed training police [in forensics], so I like to teach & educate, ” said Kay.
In addition to teaching, Kay has also spent 10 years in law enforcement as an emergency management officer, a patrol officer, and a crime prevention coordinator. Moving into teaching forensic science allows him to work with young people in a different context.
“My favorite thing about teaching is making honest connections with the students,” said Kay. Kay is married with three children, and when he is not teaching, he enjoys family time.
“My hobbies are spending time with my family and playing golf,” said Kay.
