Ms. Nihan Yilmaz Joins ESL Department
Nihan Yilmaz is a new teacher in the ESL Department. Coming from a Turkish background, Ms. Yilmaz taught language classes at Hacettepe University in Turkey and the University of Texas at Austin, giving her a combined 10 years of teaching experience.
Ms. Yilmaz feels that teaching English as a Second Language gives her an opportunity to connect with her students in a unique way because it reflects her own educational experience.
“I have a big motivation to discover many different languages and cultures,” said Ms.Yilmaz, “I myself speak 4 languages: Turkish, English, Spanish and Italian.”
In her free time, Ms.Yilmaz likes to run, travel, and discover new cuisines worldwide.
